Even though I’m feeling like crap at the moment I am giving all my well wishing vibes to Pixel. Somehow she managed to scratch her eye, which has caused some swelling and irritation.
The vet said that she has a scratch on her cornea and gave us cream to put in her eye 4 times a day. We felt terrible, wondering how it might have happened, but he said it could have been anything. Maybe something from playing with Bailey, or even just a branch when she walked into a bush to pee.
Anyhow, she’s a little squinty and very sooky at the moment. So she’s getting lots of love and attention. Lucky for her she’ll have two more people here tomorrow to baby her, which I’m sure she won’t mind that at all.
Btw, can you believe how tiny she still is? My hand looks huge in that photo. Hard to believe she’s still that small at almost 6 months old!
That’s sad that your pup hurt it’s eye. One of our dogs has a prolapsed tear duct and that’s a lot worse. Probably surgery. Don’t worry about a scratch.

She looks so adorable there, all sad and cozy in those blankets. Hope she gets all better soon!

Thanks Connie. It’s good to know that it’s not something too serious. My mother’s dog had problems with her eyes and ended up having to have one removed so I was a bit scared. It’s so sad to see her looking at me with the one little squinty eye! :(
Hi Tammy,
We’ve had this also happen, it’s so scary but they really do bounce back. :)
Take care, beste to Pixel, big hugs, Connie
