Dear Mother Nature,
What’s with the snow? I woke up this morning and this is what I saw out my dining room window. I must say, I was somewhat confused. It would appear that there has been some sort of miscommunication here. I SAID winter was over for the year, remember? Spring is coming, winter is over, there will be no more snow. Did you not get the memo? I said I DECIDED dammit! Did someone not pass along the message? I mean, I assumed you had been reading my blog, so… what’s with the power trip?
I know you probably feel threatened with me pwning the hell out of your seasons and all, but this is no way for a mother to behave… Thankfully, the snow did not accumulate and it’s as though it never happened. I will let it go this once and assume that you did indeed not get the memo. I think you need to fire your assistant.
Please don’t let it happen again.

Dear Tammy
We did indeed receive your memo declaring winter over. However, we would ask you to understand that due to an admin error we found ourselves receiving an extra delivery of snow. Since (as you know) snow has a use by date we had no choice but to send some extra snow to Holland to avoid our offices becoming flooded with melted snow.
We assure you that you (the customer) will not be charged extra for this snow and hope that you understand our problem.

I think Mother Nature must work for the University, myself. I’ve noticed that the staff at UU, in addition to receiving a paycheck, need to be reminded (usually several times) to do their job.

I was going to have a bit of a lie in this morning, until I suddenly noticed through the cracks in the blinds that large white things were floating down outside. At that point I leapt out of bed in disbelief. There might have been cursing, too.
