Pucker Up

Naw I’m not giving out kisses but if you saw me you’d probably think I was. Not sure what I came in contact with over the last day or so but for some reason my lips are all swollen and itchy. It would seem I’m allergic to something, no idea what though. I look like an Angelina Jolie wannabe…. I have absolutely no intention of taking a pic for you all to mock though.

Yesterday we finally got around to starting some of the house renovations. We didn’t get into building anything or busting down walls but we have started tearing down the ugly pink and white wallpaper that has been haunting us since we moved in here. Once we started we realized there was three thick layers of wallpaper in our livingroom so I figure by removing them all we’ve added at least a mm of space to the room. haha Bailey, still sick and very sooky, wouldn’t leave us alone the whole time. We would try to get him to lay on the sofa but before we knew it he was back at our feet wanting attention. I swear, he’s almost as bad as me when I’m sick. As you can see in the pic, he got to hang out and supervise while Xander did the lower parts of the wall.

We managed to get it all off and the crappy wooden/cement walls even look better than the wallpaper did. Next week we plan to put up this thick sort of fiberglass wallpaper stuff that they have here. Then we will paint over that, if I ever decide on what color paint we’re going to use. First thing is first though, the pink trim has GOT TO GO!
