Frogged and Favorite Things

A while back I signed up for a few sites to have blog reviews done, just for shits and giggles. Today another one of the reviews came in from Frog My Blog and it was pretty good. I got 4 out of 5 bugs and the only complaint they had really was the colors of my theme.

It does seem somewhat dull after being all pink for a month. I’ve thought a bit about changing the colors but I’m waiting until someday I have the patience to really play with it. I’ve also been thinking of getting a small header done for where my title is, I have an image in my head of what I want but explaining it to someone for them to make it is another thing all together.

Anyway, the review was totally painless. Click on the photo above to read it. I just had to take a screenie of their header to put in this post because I think it’s cute as hell.

Moving on…

Tea.. or thee,  as they say here in the Netherlands (pronounced tay).

This is my new favorite thing…

Not just any tea but this blueberry tea from Celestial Seasonings.  It’s so yummy, like drinking hot grape juice or something.

Sometimes I’m boggled by how my tastes change.  Up until about a month ago I never drank tea unless I was sick, then I would crave it.  When I was well though, I’d totally turn my nose up at it.

When I had that shitty cold a while back I drank tea like it was going out of style, only this time I didn’t stop once I started feeling better.  Since then I’ve become a total tea freak… trying new teas and trying to get an idea of what I like.

So far it seems I’m partial to the fruity ones or ones like cinnamon and spice etc.   Go figure.  At least I’ll have something less sinful to drink this winter, since I won’t be able to have my usual hot chocolate with whipped cream.

Speaking of hot chocolate.  I went out with some friends yesterday afternoon and we sat in the Bagels & Beans in the bookstore for almost 5 hours chatting.

At one point one of the girls got this hot chocolate with whipped cream, only the way it was served was a warm cup of milk with a stick in it with this big block of chocolate on the end that melts as you stir it in the milk.

She took her life in her hands as she pulled the stick out of the glass, revealing the blob of melting chocolate and taking a lick of it…

After over four months without any chocolate, I very nearly pounced over the table and wrestled it out of her hand.

Thank god the people around me can’t see what goes on in my head when I watch them eating their chocolate.  I’m sure it looks something like how people would imagine a human with rabies would behave.

  1. go going on the good review. And I am soooo glad ppl can not see what is going on in my head. I think I would be jobless, divorced(again) and homeless in less than 30 seconds.

  2. I actually like the soothing grey of your page… there’s no need to change.

Anyways, I’m not much of a tea drinker myself, but hot grape juice??!! That does sound mighty tasty.

I’m not really one for hot drinks, though. The only one I particularly like is apple cider. Oh, yum.

  3. Congrats on the great review!! Oh, and I admire your restraint on the chocolate issue!!! :-)

  4. My friend works at Celestials head office in Vancouver. Mmmmm…. Tea.

  5. I saw the review! It was GREAT! And well deserved!

  6. Love the look of your site!! All the best with the latest addiction….I’m going through a chocolate stage at the moment myself.

  7. Hmm..I like the color scheme. It’s relaxing and easy on the eyes. It mellows me out…

  8. Celestial season’s has a great line of tea’s out. I love the green tea with mint, the apple spice, and the new berry zinger is really good. I haven’t seen the new blueberry I will have to look for it.

Four months without chocolate, congrats. That is amazing woman!
