One of my closest friends since coming to the Netherlands is Penny, a California girl who moved here to the Netherlands about four years ago. She is also married to a former skater boy and like all my other friends, is PREGNANT!
Ever since I’ve known her she’s talked about her friend Laura. I got to know Laura a little as well when I was visiting a weight loss site that she was on too. So it made meeting her a little less weird since we’d had previous contact.
She came to Holland to visit Penny and her husband between Christmas and New Year, and we got together for some lunch and poffertjes (yum!). The girl talks a mile a minute and after being in laid back Holland where everything moves at a relaxed pace, it was hard for me to keep up with her at first. She was so energetic and excited!
It was a cool day and it’s great to be able to put a face to the name now.
