If you aren’t aware already, Instagram has recently become available for Android! I love it!
It’s weird though, because when it was only for iphone users and I’d see people uploading Instagram photos I’d be like “Meh, I don’t see what the appeal is with this, the photos look weird and why not just use their normal mobile camera??”. I think it was just that I didn’t quite get how it worked, I didn’t realize that it was an entirely separate social network of its own, rather than just some program to make your pics look vintage or something.
So, like a lot of other Android users, I’ve become completely enamored with this thing. It’s so easy and it’s fun to take photos and share them with friends. It’s also (usually) easy to share the photos on Facebook, Twitter and other social networking sites.
I love photography but lately I’ve just not had the desire to sit and edit my photos the way I used to. Perhaps it’s just a phase but while I love the end results it is a lot of work that I can’t avoid because I’m not satisfied unless I sit and make them just the way I want them. Basically, Instagram makes it a lot easier to just share the little things in life in just a few minutes with my mobile phone, and I really like that. Unfortunately, the easier these things become, the less I seem to want to do things the long way.
That could just be my personality, I’m kind of an all or nothing gal and my interests and hobbies come in waves. I’m sure I’ll be slaving away behind Photoshop again soon enough, but in the meantime, you can find me on Instagram!
If you are on there, either follow me so I can find you or leave me a message so I know who to look for! I really love seeing other people’s photos and what they are up to!
