Today it was a whopping 27 degrees here in Rotterdam, and we don’t have our screens on the windows yet. Whew, it’s warm in here! We can’t open the windows wide because of the animals. I’d hate for one of my little fluffies to end up taking a three story drop. I’ll have to make a point to paint the window frames this week so we can get the new screens on.
This afternoon we went into the city center to buy my birthday present. My birthday isn’t until next Sunday but it’s not uncommon for us to do the gift thing early. I remember one year Xander got his birthday present three weeks before the big day. I got a Lexmark P915 Color Photo Printer which so far seems pretty nice. Not that I know anything about printers, I’ve never even owned one. I wanted to be able to print photos to put up on the wall here when the place is finished, plus I want to start scrapbooking. Having your own printer makes it much easier because you can download scrapbooking pages and print them off. It’s also going to be handy for printing off my DvD covers. Printers are alway useful anyway!
I got all the flowers planted on the balconies and they look lovely! I love this time of year because things get so much brighter and more colorful and so does my mood. Hopefully I’ll be able to keep them alive.. something I’ve struggled with in the past.
Did I mention it’s warm in here? Maybe I should have asked for an air conditioner for my birthday..
