On Wednesday I woke up to the following message from a friend on Facebook:

Twilight, General, pairing: Bella & Edward, This story begins almost six years after Bella became a vampire. Renesmee is almost an adult and has begun to attend an all-girls private school while the rest of her family begins classes at the nearby public school. The story has shifting point-of-view.
Tammy, I just found out about my previous wall post today from a friend of mine. I just thought you might be interested if you have not heard about it already. I know it is from a fan and not Stephanie Meyer but my friend said she liked it and it was written in the same form as the Twilight book series. It just might be worth a read?
First, I thought oh no not some lame story written by a Twilight Tweenie, but since it was a friend who forwarded it to me I figured it at least deserved a peek. So I started out on the first chapter…
By chapter two I was on MSN with my friend Penny telling her about it.
By chapter five we were chatting excitedly:
09:45:05 Breigh: chapter 5 is great hehe
09:52:36 Penny: god dammit your got me hooked on this damn book
09:52:44 Breigh: omg I know it’s GOOD
By chapter seven we were completely and utterly hooked:
09:55:33 Breigh: haha omg this is getting good!!
10:07:42 Penny: alright this damn jake and nessie thing better heat up!
10:13:22 Breigh: wait till you read chapter 7 I’m hooting over here
Yeah, there was no hope for us by that point. Did we get much done that day? Well, what do you think? I spent the whole day reading the story in it’s entirety. I couldn’t stop.
13:06:26 Penny: what chapter you on?
13:06:33 Breigh: 16 what about you?
13:11:01 Penny: middle of 12
13:14:09 Breigh: it just keeps getting better and better!
13:14:47 Penny: i’m surprised how good it is. i keep wondering if its because she can write or it i’m so starved for more of the story i don’t care hahah

It’s so great to have girlfriends who dig the same shit as you. It’s even greater to find hidden gems like this story. If someone had told me this was written by Stephanie Meyer I would have believed them, honestly. The funniest bit is, I think I actually like this story MORE than than the final book in the series that was written by Meyer herself.
If you are like me and were saddened to see the end of the Twilight series, read this. I know it’s fan fiction and some people turn their nose up at it since it’s not the real thing, but I consider this the 5th book in the series. It’s just that simple. I absolutely loved it and I hope hope HOPE that the author continues on with the story!

Just finished. I’ve been reading since this afternoon (except the two hours I went out with the family). That was fantastic!!!
I told you! I don’t think anyone can walk away from this story any more than they could with the original books. I love that she left it open at the end so that she can continue on with the story. She better be writing the new one as we speak!
It totally read like Stephanie Meyer and felt like a very, very natural continuation of the story. I hope she does do a new one…

Oooh I know I’ve been eyeballing all the New Moon stuff on the web too! I joined the big Twilight fan club on Facebook and get a lot of updates through that.
I have watched that video about 5 times now. Soon we’ll get to see the whole thing, after the MTV awards!
