BLEEEEEH!! I’ve gained 10 freakin pounds since I’ve been home! It’s all this delicious North American food that I missed so much. Toaster Strudels, Wendy’s, etc.. I never thought I’d say this but I’ll be so glad to get back to Holland to my stable diet of chicken and rice. Good grief! I mean ok I know I am not so active exercise-wise but now I can see just HOW bad it would be if I still lived here. In Holland I don’t have access to such yummy foods so I eat properly..which keeps my weight even. When we move back the first thing we’re buying is a rice cooker.. no way I will be able to live off the food my family and everyone eat. Hopefully by the time we come back though, I will have lost some weight. I’m so totally going to diet when we get back to Holland. We don’t have walking tracks so I figure I’ll just walk around the block a shitload of times.So.. what have we been up to. Let me think. Oh, Thursday night we went to my Uncle Miles’ place to watch the videos from his Alaskan cruise. The videos were awesome! I think if I had the choice I’d choose a warmer cruise where I could swim and stuff but the views on the Alaskan cruise were beautiful. They went panning for gold and stuff too which was pretty cool! The only problem was, while we were there they had their pot belly oil stove thing on in the basement where we were watching the video.. I mean it’s almost JUNE PEOPLE! Xander and I were sitting on this little loveseat and we were so hot that the fabric on our pants where our hips were touching were getting all wet.. I kept trying to squish myself against the arm of the seat so that we wouldn’t be touching. I swear the sofa was on fire beneath me I was so hot! They were dressed in shorts and t-shirts but we dressed normally because it was just cool enough for pants outside. No lie, that basement was like a sauna. I hate to sweat so you can imagine what a torture chamber it was for me.
Last night Kathy and Dave (Sis and fiance) came over. We just had some munchies and gabbed.. we played this game called TriBond as well. It’s that game where you are told 3 things like “Dole – Yellow – Chiquita” and you have to figure out what they all have in common (The answer is Banana, in case you were too dumb to figure it out). We played the women against the men and the women won 2-1, of course. After that they ordered some pizza and we chatted some more and they left.. I fell asleep later watching Conspiracy Theory on TV.
Today we are meeting up with Kathy and Dave again in the afternoon. We’re going BOWLING! Women against the men again, but I’m not sure what the results will be. I’m not the world’s best bowler by any means.. I haven’t played it in years. It should be a good laugh though. After that we’re coming back here to BBQ some hamburgers and hot dogs then they are going home and me, xander and my parents are off to Blake’s (Dad’s cousin) for a get together. His dauther Crystal is home, she’s my age and I haven’t seen her in years.. so that will be cool. They are having a bombfire and I’m sure they will all have the guitars out and stuff again. I don’t think I will drink this time.. I got pretty drunk last Saturday and just don’t feel like it. Plus I feel weird drinking if there is even a chance I might be pregnant. Anyhow, it should be a good time.
I think I’m going to sell all my game accounts when I get back to Holland. I don’t really have all that much but I mean even if I get $100+ for them together it’s still better than having them and not using them. Any money towards going home is good.. I’ve been thinking about that hellish job of mine and can’t decide if I’m going to go back to it or not. On the one hand I know the money would be good for us for the move, on the other hand I want to try to make the last year I’m in Holland as stress-free and enjoyable as I can. I really need to get myself fixed up both mentally and physically before we move back home because I know it’s going to be hard when we get back here. I really am not sure what to do about that.
God… why doesn’t money grow on trees.. Whyyyyyyy!!
