Congratulations Kathy and Dave!
If you’re wondering who Kathy and Dave are, it’s my sister and her husband, as of today! They are getting married this evening back in Nova Scotia, just one more event I’m missing while living over here. Mom will take lots of pics though, if she remembers the camera… which she better!
Went camera crazy again yesterday, and I got the most hilarious picture! I took some pictures of the cats for their pictures page and just as I was getting nice and close up to Spencer to get a pic, he yawned right in my face!
haha omg what a riot! He could use a trip to the dentist though, check out those teeth! Blech!
Today we had a new workmate of Xander’s over for a while. I think his name was David… Anyway he was Irish and had the coolest accent! He was from Cork and his accent was pretty different from Xanders, he spoke a lot faster as well. Poor guy got here and nearly died from allergies with the dog/cats. I wish I had known so I could have put the pets away and aired the place out a bit better before he got here. He didn’t say anything though, he came in and played with the dog etc and next thing we look at him and his eyes are blood red and all wattery. Silly boys! He and Xander went to this computer thing, I’m not sure what you’d call it. It was in this big place called the Ahoy and you can get computer stuff for cheap. Like a computer show I guess you’d say. Anyhow, he got WIRELESS NETWORK! Whoo hoo!! So yes, as I type this I’m sitting comfy on my sofa with my feet up on the coffee table.
Thought I was going to get through that without complaining, didn’t you? Wrong! The damn coffee table is too high, my feet keep falling asleep! haha Oh well, I leave them there anyway of course. I’ll just Oooh! and AH! and EEK! as I hop and hobble my way to bed. That is, if they aren’t so dead by then that I just fall on my face.
So I finally finished with all the episodes of The Sopranos, and now I’m on to this other show called The OC. This guy I talk to on #flychicks (on IRC Efnet) was telling me about it when I was talking about TV shows. Then all these other people started saying how good it was, so how could I resist? I figure it’s something like a cross between Dawsons’s Creek and 90210, or something. So of course I love it and will watch it faithfully. There will be times I deny it though, I’m sure. So I’m currently downloading this one iso file with 8 episodes. It says the ETA is 255 hours, wow… Here’s hoping that improves while I’m in bed! I’m far too impatient to wait that long. People keep saying that this Bit Torrent is a lot faster than other programs used for downloading things, but man… I’m just not seeing it. It could be that a lot of the things I’ve been downloading were old though, with not many people trading that particular one.
Didn’t lose as much weight as I would have liked this week, but at least it’s going down and not up! It’s funny the things that go through your head when you’re on a diet. I was standing buck naked on the scale and thinking hrmm I bet if my hair was shorter or if I had a poo already this morning I’d be at least a half a pound lighter! haha OH man, I swear I actually thought these things. I bet I will next week when I weigh myself too!
*YAWN*… well, time for me to crash. Almost made it until midnight, not bad not bad. I’ve been in bed before 10pm sometimes during the week when I was getting up at 5:30am the next day. I like having Sat & Sun as my days of rest, I can actually stay up later than the 80 year old couple downstairs.
Oh man, “Trauma – Life in the ER” is on TV now, how much do you bet I’ll be back on here tomorrow telling you all about the wacky dreams I had? good grief!
