I absolutely love this stuff! It’s the first time in years that anything has challenged my alltime favorite Haagen Dazs Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream. This new Oatmeal Cookie Chunk ice cream by Ben & Jerry’s is definately giving it some competition. If you haven’t tried it you really should. It’s absolutely delicious!
Last night I watched an interesting show on the Discovery channel last night. It was called The Girl With X-Ray Eyes. It was about a 17 year old girl who claims to have the ability to see into people and find their ailments. She was brought to the States from Russia, where they did a number of tests to see if her claims were true. They didn’t really prove anything either way, in the end it was left up to people to believe what they wanted to believe. I’m not sure what I think. Maybe it’s possible that people have these other senses, maybe it’s all a load of crap. Some things with this girl seemed to freaky to be coincidence, can anyone really fake it that well? I dunno..
Sunday was Holland day on Discovery Channel (Shit.. I watch that chan a lot) and there was a three hour special about Vincent Van Gogh. It was really interesting and I learned a lot about his paintings and who he was. When I was watching it I was reminded of this pic I took while I was in Amsterdam a few weeks ago. In the square in front of the palace there is always these live statues. People dress up as different things and people and stand really still. This guy was really good, much better than the others.
I got a webcam last weekend. It doesn’t work on my laptop because the USB ports aren’t powerful enough. It works on my gaming computer and our little laptop though. I had a really nice Logitech one first and exchanged it for one made by Creative. The quality on the 2nd one is not as nice though, but I didn’t realize that the problem with the first one was the laptop, rather than the cam itself. Gonna take the Creative one back tomorrow and see if I can get the Logitech one back. It’s only a few euros for a powered USB hub so I will probably get one of those. I think it will be nice to have a webcam so I can show my parents things and stuff. I mean with the wireless I can walk around the house with the webcam and show them the renovations we do when we buy the place.
Speaking of that, we went to Ikea this weekend and picked out a kitchen style we really like. We sat with one of the Ikea girls and spent some time trying to design the kitchen. It’s going to be really nice when we get it done! I’m so excited! :)
