Long Slow Beautiful Dance

Well I completed my first campaign of “Rent My Blog”… a fun little feature over at BlogExplosion. Hopefully my renter was pleased with the stats for the week:

As you can see I have a new renter now! Laci from Long Slow Beautiful Dance! This week I had a lot of bids on my rental space, which made me feel pretty good.

There were some really nice blogs there but hers stood out from the start, because I always remember the awesome themes she uses on her site. That, plus she’s one of the people I actually stop and read during that 20-25 second wait. Others I just go to another tab and come back when it’s time to click… shame on me!

Ok, yeah all that is well and good but here is the real reason I chose her blog to be my tenant for the week (quoted from her blog):

I freakin’ LOVE that movie!

Girls Just Want to Have Fun is one of my favorite movies from when I was younger! I’ve been searching for it here in NL but can’t find it anywhere, and the only ones I can find to order are the US version, which doesn’t really work for me here. I totally need to get one of my torrent buddies to rip it and transfer it to me so I can burn it to watch again.

I mean seriously, where else do you get to see a young Sarah Jessica Parker, Helen Hunt and Shannen Doherty all in one movie? That alone is worth watching it for… but the story is just so great for a teenage girl.

I’m not goin to go on and on about what it’s about, just get it, watch it and see for yourself!!

If you have a daughter, you absolutely must buy this movie for her. It’s something every girl and they’ll totally love you for it :)

I have always liked Laci’s blog, now I just love Laci. It’s impossible not to when she digs this movie as much as I do, now that makes us like… kindred spirits!
