Sunshine!

It’s sunny in Rotterdam today, for the first time in too damn long. I feel rejuvinated, I feel alive! Xander says I’m like a little rechargable battery, I go out in the sunlight and he can almost hear the hum of my body recharging. How strange huh?

We’re going into town shortly, where we will grab some lunch, see Constantine and do a little shopping. I have heard rave reviews about the movie and I’m really looking forward to seeing it. We also have to pick up some DvDr’s I have about 15 movies sitting on my HD waiting to be burned. mmmm movies!

I think Bailey is a crazy disco freak at heart. Xander was browsing some website where this guy has it so you can listen to music on his computer or something. He clicked on the BeeGees “Stayin’ Alive” and suddenly Bailey started running around and barking like a nut. Coincidence? I don’t think so.. Xander says it’s probably because his ears are feeling under attack by all those high pitched voices. I prefer to believe that Bailey is the Disco King of the Soldaat household. A title I think Xander isn’t going to challenge him on anytime soon.

Been off school for the last week and I don’t want to go back! I will of course, because I have to and I know it is all for a greater purpose but ARGH I don’t like it very much anymore. I’m really quite nervous about my upcoming exams.. I’m confident that I know the things we’ve gone over in our classes, but the problem is that the exams are country-wide exams rather than ones that are based on the texts we learn from, so there are always things on there that we haven’t learned yet. I hate that!! How can I be tested on something I haven’t been taught? Also I think I’m going to ask if it’s possible for me to do the computer work from home rather than at school, they are all so yappy in the computer room and I find it hard to concentrate. Not sure what the purpose is of having us do it there when we are just as able to do that portion of it at home.. Maybe people will be a bit more calm now after the break or perhaps I just need to find somewhere to sit away from the chattyass girls. My next real vacation is in the summer, we get 5 weeks off!

This weekend I went through our closet and dressers and found two giant garbage bags worth of clothes that we never wear anymore and will give away to charity. Finally, more room for the stuff we DO wear (or for new clothes perhaps?!). We are such packrats.
