I need you to poke around my site a bit. Click on things in my sidebar, try to go to the next page, check my categories etc and tell me if you get any errors or if things just look generally unwell.
Please tell me:
1) What browser you are using.
2) What errors you are getting.
If you remember a while back I was reviewed by the folks over at IT2M and said I was possibly going to sign up for a re-review.
Today my blog came up again for review but it seems that the reviewer had some problems with the site. When she first visited the site didn’t load and she thought it was down, then the ‘next page’ at the bottom didn’t work.
In the comments a number of people have mentioned problems with the template. Not problems like ‘I think the color is yuck!’ but rather actual errors like the split sidebar meshing together in the Opera browser, the spacing being all off and wonky… etc.
I only use Firebox and I have set it up to look the way I want it to on my browser. It’s possible that in doing so I may have screwed up some things for other browsers… -or- that this theme isn’t very all browser friendly.
I’m coming around the time of being ready for a change anyway so I may possibly dump the layout and go for something else rather than trying to pick this one apart. It’s been a major pain in the ass any time I’ve tried to do anything so I don’t know if I can be arsed messing with it to try to get it working across all platforms.
Anyway, please let me know if you are getting any errors or glitches! Thanks!!
Hey I like this background. Maybe you should pick something with a christmas theme for the holidays coming up.Just a suggestion…later
I use FireFox, too, so it’s likely that whatever you are seeing, I am seeing, too. It looks good to me. :)
Thanks all :)
It would seem that the problem was either with my host or on the reviewers computer at the time. It seems fine for me and everyone else!
I must admit, I’m getting ready for a change though… I may change the colors of this theme or change to an entirely different one,not sure..
Using Safari and Caimo and sometimes firefox and all 3 also are working fine..
As someone had mention ealier it could be your host(server) having problems which happens to us ALL..
I hope you do not take that review to seriously?
In my internet explorer browser (IE 6.0 I think), I see nothing in your right column sidebar until I scroll most of the way down the page. Is that how you intend it to look?
Your content looks interesting. In general, this is a fine website. You’ve done well.
You didn’t ask for feedback on content, but I am personally a little put off by bad language.
Good luck and keep the website going! As a Canadian in The Netherlands, you’ve got some unique stories to share.
Hey Girl. No probs over here either. I clicked almost anything possible and no error messages. I use Mozilla Firefox.
No errors today, but on Monday your sidebar was a bit slow loading and when it did load I could click anything till I reloaded the page. But since then I have no probs. I use Mozilla Firefox.
Looks fine to me and I tried it in both Firefox and Flock for OS X and Windowns XP.
On the mac I’m using the beta version of Firefox still, but the windows is the most current edition.
Looks super-duper in IE to me.
Using IE and it looks perfectly fine!
Next page is not working for me. Am using newest version of FireFox.
When I click on CANADA link, the pictures run over the sides into the sidebars. I am also on my work PC, so that may have a bit to do with it…not as wide as my at home screen.
Last night, you were not loading for me at home either.
I use Firefox 2.0, IE7 and Netscape 8.0 and looks great in all of them, Great template by the way. Nice job :)
Hi, I’m here via IT2M :)
Okay, I clicked on ‘recent posts’, ‘archives’ and ‘categories’ and all 3 came up fine. I’m using Firefox.
Congrats on the 2 smacks!!
I’m using FF and everything looks fine.
I have been trolling around your blog most of day with no problem. Not sure what browser i a using….it my work server…?

Test in different operating systems and browsers
Some people’s problem might be their browser isn’t updating which is what Lynn’s issue was. If you hit refresh or CTRL + F5 it will refresh while you are on that page.
Other option is to clear your cache.
Good luck,
Charles~
I hope you don’t put too much stock in what IT2M says. I hgad not heard of the site before so I went to check it out. Everyone of the reviews are bad. Now I know there is much crap out there on the blogosphere but come on not every blog can be as bad at the people at IT2M make it out to be.
In looking at your site it loads just fine. It is a simple design that works fine in both Safari and Firefox 2. Sounds like your webhost was just having a little hickup at the time they looked at your site.
I looked at backpages to the beginning of September and all was fine. I clicked on all your Link-Worthy. I clicked everything I could see.
No errors, fast loads.
I use mozilla firefox.
I have had some bad days loading things if they were not in my cache already, and it was my internet access problem. I got some weird timing issues with my gmail sends at the same time, and that is when I realized it was not other folks on the web that had a problem, it was ME!
I just shut off my computer,(which is on 24hrs a day most of the time)and let it all sit off for about a minute. When I rebooted all was good.
So maybe what happened to me in the past at times, is what happened to the other viewer.
looks perfect in Safari.
Sorry Tammy, no errors or glitches here!
Always use the most up-to-date version of IE at a resolution of 1280×1024.
Site looks great to me!
