Christmas Cross Stitch

I can’t believe Christmas is actually here!  It seems like just yesterday I was counting down at 23 days.  It sort of makes me sad because I know New Years will come just as quick and then I’ll have to take down all my Christmas decorations.  The house will seem soooo plain and boring then.

From the FrontThis is my latest completed crafty project.   I dug out a pattern book I got ages ago and decided to do some Christmas cross stitching.

I liked this one most so decided to do it first.   It took me about 2-3 days to complete.   Once I was finished I started looking into getting it framed but after finding the one place that does it and finding out it would cost approx 100 euros to have it framed, I thought yeah right screw that and tried to think of something less expensive I could do it with.   So I made a little x-mas pillow!

It worked out pretty well and much cheaper.  I just used some of the red fabric I had left over from my tree skirt and the leftover puffy snow stuff I used for under my x-mas village and voila!

The book also had a really cute x-mas teddy bear pattern, I’m working on that one at the moment.

  1. You can cross stitch something like that in two or three days? I’m completely impressed. You’re a regular craft goddess in my eyes. I have a father’s day card I’ve been working on for two years now. Happy holidays from a regular reader on Prince Edward’s Isle!

  2. Such a lovely pillow and beautiful work !!!.

What a cute pillow, very nice.

  6. Oh, that’s lovely! I personally prefer cross stitch items made up into something ‘useful’ rather than a framed picture, though those can be nice too. Very nice work :) Happy Christmas!

  7. You’re so talented Breigh, your cushion is lovely, and it’s much more interactive having it as a cushion than a picture :) hehe. Have a fabulous Christmas.

  8. Believe it, Breigh! It’s here!

Merry Christmas to you and Xander!
