Couldn’t think of another title for this blog, so I picked 00-Simms (Double O Simms) because I’m watching First Kid on TV. The character in the movie played by Sinbad calls himself that. I know it looks like a ridiculous movie, and it is, but there’s something enjoyable about it as well. I must have seen it four times already and still find it quite amusing.
So I was right about the first one voted off American Idol! Can’t say I’ll miss her much, her performance this week was as flat and boring as every other one she’s given so it was no surprise.
I think I’ve changed my mind about the next two to go though. Mikalah gave an incredibly poor performance this week and last week and found herself in the bottom three, together with Jessica who was a bit of a surprise. On the other hand, Constantine did really well and everyone seemed to love it. So this has all thrown me for a loop. The only thing I’m still certain of is that Scott’s days are numbered!
Must not forget this week’s Bo video! Here you have it!
Another great one!
We’ve finally started working on the trim here in the house. Today Xander sanded it all with an electric sander and tomorrow I will start repainting it with a simple white. It will be SO weird to not see any more pink! Definately a good kind of weird though, for sure.
Got another package from Gail yesterday! It included a hand written letter and a CD with a video of a Cape Breton band she’d seen in concert. Wow, when I closed my eyes as I was listening to it, I’d swear I was back in Smooth Herman’s again with my girls, stomping along to some celtic song and thinking I was going to be 19 forever. This was the second hand written letter I’ve gotten in two months, which are the first I’ve gotten in 5 years! I really have to sit down and write some of these myself because I really loved getting snail mail again! Of course I shouldn’t say anything, I still have postcards sitting here that I wrote in July for Karl and still haven’t sent! Thanks Gail!!
BIG congrats out to our friends Kibbie and Tim on the birth of their baby girl Rylie Donne the beginning of this week. She’s beautiful!
You’re welcome!
“Smooth Herman’s”… I can only imagine what you and the girls were getting up to there when you were 19!!
Slacker :P I really appreciated the Christmas card! :)
