This morning Xander and I went to the beach with the dog. The weather forecast said it was going to be sunny and 15 degrees (Celsius) so we figured it would be a perfect day for a walk on the beach.
It was just what I needed! Aaaah, the sun, fresh air, the sea!
I was a very happy camper!
Bailey and Xander had a great time as well! Xander spent a lot of time looking for cool shells to collect for in the turtle tanks while Bailey looked for ones that required peeing on. Together they made a great shell investigation team.
I wasn’t all that into the shell thing but I did like how they all crunched under my feet as we walked along the beach. It was sort of like when you walk on crunchy snow.
They aren’t so fun in the summer though, when you are walking on the beach in your bare feet. Then it feels like you’re walking on razor blades.
This is one of the more bizarre photos I got while I was there. How exactly does a half a head of lettuce end up face down on the beach? Did someone bring DIY sandwiches to the beach the day before? Was it tossed overboard from some ship and washed ashore?
We’ll never know the mystery behind the decapitated lettuce.
It was a great morning and the three of us had a wonderful time. I get the feeling we’ll definitely be making a habit of this when the weather is nice!
There are more photos here in my photo album. I took some videos as well but I’ll post them later.
So that’s where I left that lettuce…
Looks lovely!!! Can’t wait ;)
It looks wonderful! We should have gone to the beach!
Wow. I haven’t been to the beach in ages. Of course, for us, it would be a horrible time to go, with all the raining and all.
I used to spend many weeks at the beach when I lived in NJ. It was so easy to head to the shore though then.
I dunno if I would necessarily classify that as a “beach day”
