Yesterday me and the girls went to Kinderdijk which was really cool. I can’t believe I’ve been living here almost 8 years and hadn’t been there yet!
If you are wondering what Kinderdijk is, it’s just a nice place just outside of Rotterdam where there’s a buttload of pretty windmills to take pics of.
This is me in front of a windmill, how totally Dutch this photo is, or perhaps just totally touristy… I’m not sure. Either way it’s nice to have a pic like this. I don’t have a lot of pics of me in cool Dutch places like this. I should get more…
I took a ton of photos of course, which you can see here, but the lighting was terrible because it was so cloudy. I’m going to get Xander to take me back there on a nice sunny day or a misty morning so I can get some more . Here are a few previews of the pics I did manage to get:
The large photo is my favorite from the day, the only one I managed to get while the sun was out, I wish they had all come out this nice and bright!
It was a really good day for all of us. We caught a boat from Rotterdam which took us on a tour along the Maas ending up in Kinderdijk where we got to poke around and take pics for an hour and then took the boat back.
I think we all agreed that we were foolish to not have visited this place earlier. I’m also kicking myself that I didn’t take my mom and dad there when they were here in May. They would have loved it!
Oh well, a good excuse for them to come back… not that they need one!
