I really wish I hadn’t already used my little Idol Voter Massacre Drawing for this season, I feel like I wasted it on that little fag Sanjaya when it would have gone to much better use today, after watching Melinda getting voted off.
It’s not because I really love Melinda or anything, I think she has no neck and her wide eyed surprise thing got old really quick, but the fact is she has more talent than the remaining two put together. Especially Blake, I mean for shits sake, if he couldn’t beat box he wouldn’t even be on the show. He’s creepy and I can’t even watch him sing because of his dramatic looks and his Elvis lip.
Ok, Jordin is alright but she’s nothing special. She’s no Carrie Underwood (or Bo Bice *sigh*)
This is the end of the road for me and American Idol. I just can’t do it anymore… ok that’s a lie I know I’ll watch the finale out of sick curiosity but after that, I’m done.
It’s ok though, my Idol addiction has been replaced by Big Brother Australia, which I must say kicks the American Big Brother’s ass to hell and back.
Fucking hell, I really need to watch less TV… it’s just so easy when I can download whatever I want and watch it whenever I want. I mean, why peel potatoes when you can peel potatoes AND watch Heroes… am I right?
I’m with you on Heroes. I usually watch Heroes while ironing, tough, not peeling potatoes.
Melinda had loads of talent, but she wasn’t an AI. Look at Fantasia. What the hell has she done? She has loads of talent, but no one gives a crap. I think the same is true with Melinda. She can sing, but I can’t STAND the songs she chooses. She would have been another Idol winner that just disappeared into neckless wide-eyed obscurity. Yes, Blake is a hack, but at least he sings songs that aren’t 30 years old. And Jordin has had this thing wrapped up since day 1. She has the right look, the right age, she’s got skillz and she will end up being one of AI’s success stories. She’s only 17 for crying out loud. Give her some professional development time and she will get better and be around for some years.
That’s my prediction and I’m sticking to it.
Don’t give up on Idol. Although it was stunning to see Melinda go as she had the best vocals, she lacked a wow factor. Every season someone goes who should have stayed. It’s all part of the drama of Idol.
