… is Dutch for green, which is the color I chose for the kitchen! I wanted a sort of country kitchen green and I think I got it. I just slapped a quick coat on the wall with a brush to get an idea of how it will look.
I took this photo for my mother to show her the color of the paint and the tiles we’ve chosen. Look at Xander being a pest. hehe
Yeah… after all that hassle we ended up going with just plain white 10×10 tiles. That’s just so typical me. I’ll spend ages and ages looking for something different and end up going with something simple because I can’t decide.
I’ve painted the doorframes and the balcony door and window, and tomorrow I will finish painting the green in the top of the kitchen above where the tiles go. Hopefully we’ll be able to get the tiling done on the weekend and then our kitchen will be COMPLETE!
Err, well mostly. I’ll still have a few things I want to get done like the lighting and such but that’s minor.
Wow! That colour green really goes great with your new cupboards! Real country look, I think. Keep up the good work! Next thing you know you will have the decorating bug and want to do your whole house over!!!! Have a good day.

It looks gorgeous! We are painting at the moment too – doorframes. Blegh!
The green looks great! My parents redid their kitchen 2 years ago after a house fire and I tried to talk them into a shade a lot like that. The cabinets were very similar in color but different style with glazes. They ended up doing a medium brown color which also looks nice.
I bet you’re enjoying your dishwasher. :)
Looks wonderful! Will be awesome when it is all completed :)
I love the color!! That is the color I want for my bedroom – very soothing!
