This week’s theme is skinny, frig! What am I going to put for that? It’s not like I’ve ever been skinny. At least that’s what the kids at school told me! Ever since I was a child I was always the chubby kid. When I look back at photos of myself when I was young, I don’t see myself as being fat… just not a total beanpole like some of my friends.
Ok so I had a few little rolls and chubby thighs even back then but I was a kid! Baby fat! I think if I hadn’t been labeled as the fat kid back then maybe it wouldn’t have been such a self fulfilling prophecy. I never lived in fear of being the fat kid, I already was.
I’ve never been skinny, not ever. I’ve never known what it’s like to wear skinny jeans, never been comfortable in a swimsuit and have never been considered to be what the world considers a babe. I’ve tried, but the most I’ve ever accomplished is… less fat. It’s not quite the same as being skinny.
For me, it doesn’t really matter if another person is skinny or not, as long as this person is wonderful and good.
Have a great weekend!
P.S. You looked cute in that photo. :)
Wow, you sure haven’t changed much! Still a beautiful “girl”. And I once had a doc tell me that it’s much healthier to have a little pudge after I was in a bad accident. I had to agree after all the bruising I got WITH my pudgies.
Hi: You were beautiful as a little girl and you still are!!. I read your blog often. You are an excellent writer. Keep up the great work.
ira.
PS…do you mind me asking how to find out what the THEME is for the week? I am new to 365 days of blogging (been bloggin for a year though off and on) but it would be nice to have some help with topics. Thanks!
You are darling! Skinny is a state of mind in my opinion, I haven’t been tiny since I graduated, but I am skinny on the inside, that’s all that matters to me…as long as I don’t look in the mirror, I am (I feel) 120 pounds! LOL – Maybe someday again, but not today!
What a cutie you were! lol I was always looked at as being bigger, even when I wasnt. All the girls I went to school with were super short and skinny. I happen to have shoulders and an actual build to myself.
What a cutie photo, thanks for sharing.

You were adorable…and I’ll bet you’re now beautiful, skinny or not! I’ve never been skinny either…ditto to everything you said!! But I try to be happy and content with the person God made me to be!! My take on skinny is up at http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/prodoceo/459874/
you looked great! and sooo pretty!
Oh weren’t you just a cutie!! And that smile there says it all! You weren’t fat there and you aren’t fat now!
Like your blog!
And you were an adorable kid – not fat at all.
And you are a lovely woman from what I can see from your recent photos – not fat at all.
Thanks for stopping by mine
Aleckii – I don’t live in Amsterdam, but not too far from it. I live in Rotterdam which is about 40 minutes away by train. I’ve been to Amsterdam a number of times though I prefer to live in Rotterdam as it’s a more modern city.
Penpusher – I use a plugin called Falbum for my flickr photos. It’s a giant pain in the ass to tweak and get the way you want it, as it can mess with your templates at first, but I think it’s worth it in the end :)
What a cutie!
Hi there! I just stumbled upon your blog, I really love it! I love all your pictures, you have a good eye!
Can I ask what sort of plugin do you use for your photo albums? It looks really neat!
:)
Oh my! You were a cute kid! I’ve been chubby my whole life too, but it’s ok I guess. I never did get the thin is beautiful thing anyway. Nothing is as important as being healthy and feeling good of yourself. You look mighty healthy to me!
I read your blog, I really enjoyed it. Baby Tiana is sooo cute!
My photohunt assignment is up to!

Do you really live in Amsterdam? I really love Amsterdam, not only because of how beautiful it is, but because how friendly the people are over there. I’ve been there 2 years in a row now for my holiday, and will go again if I get the chance.
