Today at 5:40pm we were told that we were going to have tomorrow off as well as Monday. While some colleagues were complaining about how they wished they’d had more notice to make plans, I was thinking ‘Oh Yessssss!’.
Four whole days to sit at home if I want to, knit if I want to, not wear nice shoes if I don’t want to… mmm, love it. I miss that.
It’s been a rough week this week at work, it’s been really busy and the honeymoon period is ending and I’m starting to see some things and people differently after having been exposed to them for a little longer. After 8 years of pretty much 100% independence, learning to bite my tongue, put my head down and do my work is proving to be a bit of a challenge.
Don’t get me wrong, I still really like my job and I love the girls I work with. Just, I’m sure if you work in an office environment you understand how things can get sometimes.
My plans for this weekend:
- Sew new hammocks for the rats
- Cuddle with hubby
- Curl up on the sofa, under my blanket with the heating pad and cooo about how nice it is.
- Watch a few movies
- Some bits of housework here and there
- A little shopping if anything is open
- Finish season 2 of Dexter (omfg that British chick is such a psycho!)
Exciting stuff huh? It probably sounds pretty boring to most people reading this but to me it’s heaven. Absolute heaven!
