Catrice Forget Me Not: Review

It’s no big secret that I love purple, I’m pretty sure I’ve thrown that out there a few times already.  So when I bought this for a swap partner and found out she already had it on the way in another swap, it really wasn’t a task for me to slip it into my own stash and give it some love!

It already looked beautiful in the bottle, I love the bits of silver swirling around.  Application was lovely, it isn’t one of those polishes that look dark and then you end up doing endless coats.  I was quite surprised at the coverage I got from the first coat.   I did end up doing a second coat but even as I was doing it I was wondering why because it wasn’t necessary, it was just habit!  You could easily get by with one healthy coat without going all OCD like me and doing a second anyway.

The color is lovely, a true purple with a hint of silver thrown in for good measure.  It’s really beautiful and is one of what I like to call KAPOW colors because it does not go unnoticed.  My husband walked in the room as I was doing my nails and even he commented on the power of the color in this polish.   It’s that awesome.

I’m going to rate the removal aspect of this polish, even though I’ve not fully removed it yet, I did remove and redo one nail to test and it was great. Well, with the exception of some color smudging but that’s to be expected with any bold color, and could be easily remedied with a better removal method than the halfassed job I did of it!

I am already trying to hold myself back because I’m dying to know how it looks when combined with other polishes.  Like, how would it look with silver shatter or some stamping on top, how would it look matted?!  Oh the possibilities are endless.  Good thing I have ten fingers!
